In addition to the very talented Controlled Kaos and the Special Recognition awards, the audience was treated to several outstanding Guest Posers.

The first routine of the night was by Todd Scott, who did a charming routine as Pinocchio.  This was unannounced in the program and was a delightful surprise to the audience This was one of the more imaginative and original routines and was really fun to watch.  He certainly makes one in-shape Pinocchio.

IFBB Fitness Pro, Tami Ough also entertained by doing a near scandalous, dynamite sexy routine.  It was a blast to see her in action.  She's also the most down to earth, charming athlete as well.

Last, but not least, was Todd Jewell, an outstanding IFBB competitor who gave a great routine.  He is also well known as a home town hero, the bodybuilder who took down a bank robber who tried to assault a bank teller.  Some face lacerations and some broken ribs later, the police arrested the bank robber and Todd received a handsome reward for his efforts.   Good for Todd, and everyone applauded loudly and racously for him.  We need more heroes like that.

Bikini Competitors

The night commenced with the awards and the first award of the night went to the very lovely Audrey Penza, winner of the Bikini under 5'2 division.  This is a new NPC division, and the first chance this reviewer has had to see it.   These competitors are not quite as ripped (with the exception of Audrey Penza) as the figure models, but they still have a tight, lean look and must, above all, look good in a bikini.  Of course, these ladies did not disappoint.   Bikini under 5'4 winner was a very sunny Lisa Larson, Bikini under 5'6 was Amanda Schulte and Bikini over 5'6 was the smoldering Tori Briggs and Tori was also the Bikini overall winner.  She earned it!

Figure Competitors
(Tiaras + Trophies = FUN)

This was the largest class of competitors in the show, dwarfing both the bodybuilding and the new Bikini division.  No complaints here, as it does give the show a lot to look at and they are some very beautiful competitors.

First division was Masters Figure Short, and surprise, Audrey Penza won this class.  This was a very large class, 12 competitors and it was not easy to judge.  Audrey Penza  won the Overall as well who was presented her award by IFBB Fitness Pro, Tami Ough.  It's no suprise Audrey won, as her husband is not only her trainer, but the owner of Next Level Fitness which also had the largest team of competitors in this show.

In the Masters Medium class division, Sheri Suppes handily accepted first place.  As an added note, all the ladies winners received not only trophies, they also were presented with tiaras (including top five).   This was an especially classy little touch which I think the competitors really appreciated.  Next, Masters Figure tall was won by Sharyn Sullivan, who would go on to win more later in the show.

In the Open Figure division, the 5'4 and under winner was Nancy Brawner, followed by 5'5 and under winner, Sheri Suppes. Figure under 5'7 winner was Joni Neilson and Joni also took the Overall for the Open class, presented to her by the very lovely Michelle Anderson, owner of Michelle Fit
Figure under 5'9 was Chandra Taggart and last but not least, Figure over 5'9 was won by Sharyn Sullivan.

Bodybuilding Competitors

Rounding out the show was the bodybuilding division.  Starting with the Teen class, Roland Cochrun won his first of several trophies of the night.

In the Novice Women Lightweight, Marya Kain took first place.  Novice Women Heavyweight was won by a very animated and estatic Cheryl Kemrey and she also took Novice Overall.

Novice Men Lightweight winner was Chuck Cooper, followed by Novice Men Middleweight winner Roland Chochrun, who previously had won the Teen class and he also took the Novice Overall which was presented to him by special guest, Michael Kindred.  Expect to see more of Roland.  He's young, in fantastic shape, and can only go up from here.  He has a great future ahead of him in bodybuilding.

Novice Men Light Heavyweight winner was Kevin Roll, who, during his posing routine did something akin to a Chippendale's dance.  This seemed to be a prevailing theme through the whole show and it seemed like everyone was more laid back and really enjoying themselves.  It's not your typical run-of-the-mill show.   Kevin's was one of many, extremely well done posing routines.

Lastly, Novice Men Heavyweight trophy went to Casey White.

Masters Men were an astoundingly strong class this year, particular the Masters Men over 40.  The winner of this class and winner of many other awards of the night was Kris Shumway, who looked absolutely teriffic, the best shape I have seen him in.  Kris also took the Masters Overall which was presented to him by Dominc Current and Larry Wilcox, of Max Muscle.  Masters Men over 50 was taken by Bill Willyerd and Masters Men over 60 was won by a very young Mark Clark.  Mark's posing routine consited of leather jacket and sunglasses. Need I say more?

Mixed Pairs winners were won by Lori Baggerly and Kris Shumway.  This was one of many awards won by this Dynamic Duo and they were presented their award by IFBB Fitness Pro, Sandy Graham.

Masters  Open Women winner was the ever smiling Lori Baggerly and also the Overall winner, with her award presented by Geri Davis .  She is a consistent winner in these shows, and like her boyfriend, Kris Shumway, always looks outstanding.  Incidentally, it was Kris and Lori's anniversary as well.

Masters Open Women Heavyweight winner was Kim Fahie.

Open Men Bantamweight was won by Bill Willyerd.  Also in this class, Dale Morishige won a special award with the distinction of competing in every single RK Smith Production shows, including the Ironman and Seven Feathers shows.  What a feat!

Open Men Lightweight winner was Jon Stockwell, followed by Open Men Middleweight winner, Kris Shumway.  Open Men Light Heavyweight was won by Jack Steele, Open Men Heavyweight winner was Shawn Smuts and finally, Open Men Super Heavyweight winner was Jake McKinzie.  Open Men Overall winner was Kris Shumway, and his Overall award was presented to him by both Todd Jewell and Todd Scott.  It shows you don't have to be a heavyweight to win an overall.  Kris was smashing!

Once again, it was a great privilege having the opportunity to cover this show for RK Smith Productions.  Ron and Sue always present a super show.  They are always appreciated by the competitors and the audience for making the show fun, real, yet exciting.  And every year, you see many return athletes.  That always says something about the caliber of the production that goes into the shows, from the splendid sets to the special touches and centerpieces designed by Sue herself.  Kim Farrison always does a fantastic job as the Emcee Extraordinaire and always keeps the show moving at a brisk clip, and always interjects with wit and humor.

If you are thinking about competing next year, you must compete in the Oreogn Ironman.  See you all again soon!
